This week’s Be Better Off Show Podcast reflects back on an interview with Cordina Farms CEO, Louise Cordina.

The Cordina Group is Australia’s oldest poultry processor and is widely regarded as a leader in innovative fresh food.

Joining the family business in 1996 after her great-grandfather started the company in the 1930s as an immigrant, Louise has navigated the business through a period of change as consumer priorities and values have shifted alongside processes and technological advancements.

When discussing the challenges of running and working within a family business, Louise says

"Forget about being the world's greatest democracy. There's got to be one clear direction. One person calling the shots."

As the fourth generation to head the business, Louise details her unique perspective on working within a family business, and why it’s important in a competitive market to re-frame your challenges and weaknesses.

"Turn your challenges into your point of difference and look for opportunities to differentiate"
